When a major utility provider like Eversource requires specialized protection for their critical infrastructure, they turn to NewCom Enclosures. We recently completed a precision production run of 38 custom NEMA 3R enclosures, specifically engineered to withstand the most demanding outdoor environments.
Fabricated from corrosion-resistant .090 5052-H32 aluminum, these enclosures feature continuously welded seams and an integrated drip shield to protect against driving rain and snow. The 4-door, dual-access design (front and back) provides technicians with unparalleled entry to internal components, supported by door stop kits and lift-off hinges for maximum field efficiency.
The internal architecture is built for complex electrical mounting, including:
- 6 subpanels and a center separation plate.
- Unistrut for secure panel mounting.
- Stainless steel EMKA 3-point locking handles on every door for superior security.
- Aluminum louver filter kits to manage airflow while blocking debris.
Equipped with four 1/4" lifting plates and ground studs, these 38 units arrived on-site ready for immediate, safe installation. This project highlights our capacity to deliver high-volume, utility-grade solutions with unmatched precision.
